Episode #148 -Same Ol’ Capitals Situation

There are no former NHL’ers on the show this week, we’re back to regularly scheduled programming. But it’s a full bench this week, and the the gang has a lot of fun!

Ryan, Dave, P Mac and Geeta gather at her palatial estate this week as Game 2 of the Penguins/Senators series wraps up. They discuss Marc-Andre Fleury’s resurgence, the chances of him heading to Vegas and what this latest playoff run does for his legacy.

They also discuss the same thing we see every year, the Washington Capitals being bounced in the second round. Do you trade one of the big two? Add in some new support cast characters? Maybe a new coach? Three Presidents Trophies, four head coaches and no third round appearance. What would YOU do?

Jake Virtanen is playing inline hockey for Team Canada, Travis Green is the head coach and Jim Benning’s new lust for “North American Heart”. They catch up on the Vancouver Canucks’ offseason.

Finally, the gang opens a great gift from loyal listener Jyrki21 and discuss the Seattle Thunderbirds’ first WHL Championship and Ryan’s scouting report on NY Islanders first round prospect Mathew Barzal!
